Colin's Spectrum Analyser GM

Program Version 3.10 now released. (28 May 2000)

Please uninstall any previous versions.

As well as the Yaesu FT920 and Icom PCR1000, Spectrum AnalyserGM now supports Kenwood rigs ( I do not have access to a Kenwood and rely on Kenwood users to do their own testing. Please inform me what rig you are using and any success/failures in the program). I have not included any specific help for the Kenwood since everything you need to know is in the section for the FT920. If you do require help then please e-mail me.

Kenwood rigs known to work with the program are TS 570, TS850 and TS870. I have had 1 report of the TS440 and TS950 not working. I need more reports before I will say it definately doesn't work with these rigs. If you have another Kenwood could you let me know if it works or not ?

I NEED more information about control codes for Kernwoods. If you know how to control the Kenwoods then please get in touch.

BEFORE USING THIS PROGRAM WITH THE PCR1000 YOU MUST BACKUP THE PCR1000 EEPROM. If you don't know how to do this, then do not use the program. READ the disclaimer below.

The program is released as FREEWARE and it is a condition of use that I will not be held responsible for any damage that may occur due to the use of the program. You use the program at your own risk. Please tell me if it works or doesn't work.

The program is designed to run under Win95 or above. I do not introduce any "waits" to slow it down but I could introduce them if required. You will know if this is required because communications between your PC and FT920 will be erratic. My PC processor is a cyrix PR200.

When scanning, the red trace is the maximum signal at that frequency and the blue trace shows the last signal strength. If the mouse is moved over the trace it will show the frequency at that point. Clicking the mouse when on a scan will stop the scan and change the receiver to that frequency and mode.

Any Comments/Feedback will be appreciated. Due to download problems in the past, I have zipped the program into 1 file at 2.4Mb. I have also included on the download page the updated exe for all the users who have already installed the full program.
